Development History[]
The early version of Tournament Edition was modified from the original game as a testbed for the modifications on the gameplay engine to be used in the final product. It was also showcased at E3 2000, accompanied by a multiplayer tournament event.
It was first released in Europe in late 2000, and in North America in Q1 2001.
