Street Fighter Alpha 4, known as Street Fighter Zero 4 (ストリートファイターZERO 4) in Japan and Asia, is a 2000 fighting game by Capcom originally released for the CPS III arcade hardware. It is the forth game in the Street Fighter Alpha series, following Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams, Street Fighter Alpha 2, and Street Fighter Alpha 3. The gameplay system from the previous Alpha game was given changes with the new stages, a much larger roster of characters, and new theme music for all the returning characters.

Street Fighter Alpha 4 uses the playing styles from the previous Alpha game by offering the player three different playing styles known as "isms". The standard playing style, A-ism (or Z-ism in Japan), is based on the previous Alpha games, in which the player has a three-level Super Combo gauge with access to several Super Combo moves. X-ism is a simple style based on Super Street Fighter II Turbo, in which the player has a single-level Super Combo gauge and access to a single but powerful Super Combo move. The third style, V-ism (or "variable" style), is a unique style that allows the player to perform custom combos similar to the ones in Street Fighter Alpha 2. In X-ism, players cannot air-block nor use Alpha Counters. Alpha 3 also introduces a "Guard Power Gauge" which depletes each time the player blocks – if the gauge is completely depleted, then the player will remain vulnerable for an attack.
The controls for several actions haven't been modified from the previous Alpha game. For example, the level of a Super Combo move in A-ism is still determined by the strength of the attack button pressed (i.e. Medium Punch or Kick for a Lv. 2 Super Combo); and throwing is still done by pressing two punch or kick buttons simultaneously.

All characters in Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX, Street Fighter Alpha 3: Saikyo Dojo, Street Fighter Zero 3 Upper, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper are playable and present in this game. No new characters were added.

On release, Famitsu magazine scored the Sega Saturn version of the game a 30 out of 40. The Dreamcast version fared slightly better, receiving a 33 out of 40. The Official UK PlayStation Magazine said that the game outlasts Tekken Tag Tournament.
